Obituary

Caleb Paul Cobbins departed this life Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at his home in Cedar Hill, Texas. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Charles Price Cobbins, Sr., and Shirley Virgil Cobbins on July 11, 1967. He was the third child born to them and was preceded in death by his father.

Caleb was known as Paul to most of his childhood friends and all of his family. It wasn't until he moved to Texas that he started going by Caleb.

Caleb attended Academy Central Elementary. During a summer break, he accepted Christ into his life. Soon after, he graduated from Central High School in Tulsa OK, class of 1985, and expressed the desire to attend a Christian University. He chose and attended Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.

After taking a food service class in high school, Caleb developed a love for the food industry, where he worked for most of his career. After moving to Dallas, he met and married Andrea Perkins. To this union one child was born, Alyssa Paige Cobbins; to whom he was a proud and devoted father.

Caleb loved golfing and traveling. It was not uncommon for him to drive to Kansas City to enjoy Arthur Bryant's or another KC barbecue restaurant. Most recently, he happily drove all the way to Mississippi to get his mom's favorite sausage 'on his way' to Tulsa. An ideal day for Caleb in Tulsa would be firing up the grill and preparing a slew of food for the family, then relaxing to enjoy an afternoon of golf on TV.

Caleb is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Cobbins and stepdaughter, Briana Kennon; mother, Shirley Cobbins; brother, Charles Cobbins Jr.; two sisters, Camela Williams and Cathleen (William) Thomas; several nieces and nephews, including Jada Williams, Dallas Williams, Colby Cobbins; Lauren (James) Lockett and Lindsey Williams; Kendall, William and Alex Thomas; aunts and uncles, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

His gracious loving spirit will be missed by his family and friends
