Bobbie Faye
Manuel
August 21, 1940 – October 1, 2022
On August 21, 1940, In Caldwell, Burleson County, Texas Ulysses Manuel and his wife Ozie Tuner Manuel welcomed their sixth child of eight children born to this union. They were pleased to name the baby, Bobbie.
Bobbie's formative years were spent in Caldwell, Texas where she attended Caldwell Public Schools and was a graduate of Caldwell High School, her school activities and achievements included Caldwell High School Choir, Basketball-Guard, Caldwell Math Student and Caldwell Band-Clarinetist.
Bobbie was reared in a Christian home; therefore, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She united with St. Matthew B.C in Caldwell, Texas under the leadership of Reverend George Chatman where she continued her spiritual journey.
While attending college at Texas Southern, she attended Holy Temple Jesus Christ Church under watch care under leadership of Bishop Howard Manuel in Houston, Texas where she sang in the church choir. She later relocated to North Texas and united with New Generation B.C under the leadership of Rev. Robert Stephney in Dallas, Texas. During this time the Love of her life arrived, Kevin Cortes Manuel. He brought love, joy and sunshine into many people's lives. Bobbie's final Faith Journey before her demise was New Birth M.B.C in the early 70's, where she served faithfully under the leadership of the founding Pastor, the late Pastor George W. Pryor. She continued her faithfulness and support under the leadership of the current Pastor Michael D. Pryor until her health declined.
Bobbie further her education by attending Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, she later moved to Dallas, Texas and enrolled in Bishop College where she received Bachelor of Science degree. She worked for Dallas Independent School District as a 2nd Grade Tacher. She entered graduate school at Prairie View A&M while continuing to work and attend school. Bobbie received a Master of Education from Prairie View A&M University.
Those left to Cherish her memories are Granddaughter Bryttney Joshlin (Cash), of Arkansas, Siblings Hester Richardson of Dallas, TX, Rose (Wilie), Cuero, TX and a host of other relatives and Friends.
