Bobbie Thomas Harris' Obituary
Bobbie Jean Thomas Harris was born to the parentage to the late Richard T. Thomas and Margaret Garmon Thomas on June 17, 1930 in Dallas, Texas.
She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Prairie View A & M University and her master's degree from University of North Teas.
She was an educator for 31 years in DISD. She taught at Dan D. Rogers and Colonial Elementary Schools. She served as a Science Facilitator throughout the distric.
Bobbie was a member of Salem Institutional Baptist Church for over 69 years. She was an active member of the Deaconess Ministry, Nurses Guild, Woman's Auxiliary, Widows Ministry and Sister to Sister Club.
Left to cherish her memories: son, Glenn Dillard Harris, Sr. (Debra); mother, Margaret G. Thomas; grandson, Glenn Dillard Harris, Jr.; aunts, Juanita Georgeand Myrtle Garmon; niece, Karen Moore; nephew, Detrick Moore; brother in law, Albert Moore, Jr and a host of other relatives and friends.
The homegoing celebration will commence on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 11:00AM at Salem Institutional Baptist Church, 3918 Crozier Street
