July 5, 1940 – February 17, 2020
born July 5, 1940 as the first baby girl to the late Wilbur and Sarah Johnson in Arcadia, La. As the oldest daughter she we referred to as " Sistergirl"
Her inner and outer beauty captured the eye of her soul-mate Johnny Green Sr. and they were married in 1960. In 1964 the young family relocated to Terrell, Texas where she worked various jobs until she was gainfully employed at Texas Instruments in 1969.
Bobbie began her spiritual journey at the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where she served in various ministries. She later united with Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. B.W McClendon Sr. and continued faithfully under the current Pastor Rev. Richard E. Rollerson Jr. until God called her from labor to reward. As a member of Bethlehem she served on the Usher board, Deaconess, Mission Dept., Shepherd's Ministry and the Hospitality Ministry.
Bobbie will always be remembered for the great love she had for her family. Her 5 sons along with her grandchildren were always her pride and joy. Many will continue to savor the taste of her delicious turnip greens, pound cake, and sweet potato pie. She was known for helping other and would always say " Ways and actions speaks louder than words.
Bobbie is preceded in Death by her parents, her husband Johnny sister Geraldine Harris, son Ronny Green Sr. and grandson Gabriel Winzer. She leaves a lifetime of memories to her 4 sons Henry Winzer (Doris), Connie Green (Stephanie) both of Terrell, Texas, Michael Green (Artavia) of Heartland, Texas and Johnny Lee Green Jr. ( Tammy) of Terrell, Texas 3 sisters, 4 brothers, 1 aunt, 1 uncle, 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
