Bob Willis Strickland III (Robert) was born September 7, 1966 to Rosie L. (Williams) Strickland and Bob W. Strickland II in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He moved to Wichita, Kansas at an early age. Bob attended West High School and graduated in 1985. He attended Wichita Technical Institute where he studied electronics.

Bob enjoyed working for AT&T for over 20 years. He considered his AT&T coworkers his family. Bob enjoyed playing dominoes, building computers and telling jokes. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Lakers. More than anything Bob loved his family. Bob was a wonderful husband, son, father, brother and provider. His wife nicknamed him Mr. Wonderful.

Bob is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his pet, Pebbles.

Those who remain to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Verniece Caldwell Strickland; his mother, Rosie Williams Strickland; father, Bob W. Strickland II; daughter, Ta'Nasia Strickland; sons, Giraud Caldwell, Darius Thomas, Tresden Strickland and James Strickland; grandson, Lamar Strickland; brothers, Kevin Strickland, James Strickland, Dominic Strickland and Raheem Bennett; sisters, Africa Strickland, Ashley Strickland, Latoya Strickland and Ruby Strickland; special niece and nephews, Safiya Caldwell, Tahir Caldwell and Colton Caldwell; and a host of other family members, friends and his pet, Tank.
