Blanche Clark
Smith
July 14, 1942 – December 29, 2024
On the 14th day of July 1942, Blanche Clark Smith, lovingly known as "Granny," was born in Dallas, TX to Clifford and Bernice Clark. Blanche wed Charles Smith in 1963, and to this union four beautiful children were born. Blanche and Charles' devotion to Christ led them to Alta Mesa Park Baptist Church in Dallas, TX in 1976, where they became devoted members. Blanche was a faithful servant throughout her lifetime serving as a member of the usher board, a member of the choir, and as a proud deaconess.
Blanche attended Dallas Public Schools, and graduated from Madison High School, where she participated in the choir and drill team. She was later employed at Texas Instruments/Raytheon and retired after 20 years of service. Blanche loved going to church, reading her "Daily Bread," dancing, listening to music, shopping, traveling, and spending time with family.
On Sunday, December 29, 2024, Blanche gained her heavenly angel wings, and is preceded in death by parents, Bernice and Clifford Clark, her husband, Charles Smith, and sister, Gene Smith.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: four children – Vincent Smith (Bessie), Eric Smith, Sr. (Tracey), Rolanda Abney (Reginald), and Michelle McClendon (Dayton); three siblings – Michael Clark, Lester Clark, and Clifford Clark, Jr.; ten grandchildren – Quinlan Abney (Faye), J'Von Ogletree (Brittney) , Jaszmine Wilks (Richard), Taylor Smith, Jordan Abney, Cameron Smith, Eric Smith, Jr. (Maria), Kylah Smith, Daylon McClendon, and Devyn McClendon; six great grandchildren – Saniyah, Makiyah, Javiyan, Braelon, Syncere, and Kairo; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Blanche was loved by many and will forever be remembered for her sass, wit, caring spirit, and love for Jesus.
