Betty Jean Thomas Elliott, was born to the parentage of Charles Walker "Jack" Thomas and Lucy Lee Winfield Thomas on April 11, 1938 in Seagoville, Texas.  Betty accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. B.S. Holland of the Bethel Church of God in Christ.  She later united with the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church under the pastoral guidance of Rev. Floyd D. Harris and continued under the leadership of the current ministerial guidance of Dr. S.C. Nash, Sr.  Betty remained a faithful member of Mt. Tabor until the Lord called her home.

She graduated from Carver High School in 1956 and was employed as Line Technician for Texas Instruments/Raytheon until her retirement in 1995.â  On April 26, 1962, she married the love of her life, Charles S. Elliott and from this union she was blessed with a stepdaughter, Patricia Gail Elliott.  In July of 1982, she accepted her most coveted role as Grandmother to Sha'Rhonda Nicole Elliott, her granddaughter whom she loved and adored until her last breath.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, brothers Billy Joe "Mickey" Thomas, Charles Walker "Sonny Boy" Thomas and sister Dollie Ruth Thomas Branch.â  She leaves to cherish her memories, her stepdaughter Patricia Gail Elliott, granddaughter Sha'Rhonda Nicole Elliott, brother Donald Ray "Duck" Thomas (Lillie) of Dallas, Texas, sister Lela Faye "Tina" Williams and brother-in-law Robert Earl Branch of Seagoville, Texas.

She also shared a special relationship with nieces Terry Bradley and Patricia Clark of Desoto, Texas, Karyn Branch of Seagoville, Texas and nephew Michael Ray Thomas of Mesquite, Texas.â  Betty will be remembered with love and adoration by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
