Bertha retired from the Dallas Independent School District after 27 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of the Ervay Cedar Baptist Church, she served on the mother's board, and she also was affiliated with the Silver Stars group at the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church.
Bertha was a joy to her family and friends, as a strong and beautiful mother she always wanted the best for her children. With a fiery and outspoken soul for the Lord she touched many lives.
Bertha is survived by her children: Jonathan, Banks, Bazille Banks (Teressa), Loretta Jackson, Loritta Evans (Nelotha), Marlon Scott (Sonyua Bryant), Quinnest Banks (Carmelita), Jacques March (Catricia);
Twelve Grandchildren: Bazille (Tosha), Charisse (Keylon), Adrian, Jacquelyn, Marla, Valencia , Kyra, Marquin, Quinnest Jr, Evan, Tamia, Cecelia; thirteen grandchildren: and special nieces: Linda, Dianne, Marilyn and Debbie all of Houston Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
You may visit Bertha as she rests in peaceful slumber on Friday, March 1, 2013 2-9PM at Evergreen.
The homegoing celebration will commence on Saturday, March 2, 2013 10AM at Ervay Cedar Baptist Church.
