born on June 22,1936 to her late parents John Fuselier and Beatrice Smith in New Iberia, Louisiana. Bernice graduated from Jonas Henderson High in 1956. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.
Brenice loved to enjoy life, always getting her nails done and letting her hair down. She loved listening to church songs and shopping. Bernice was a loving person, who often always telling everyone "I love you a big ol bunch." She never asked for anything but loved to give. Her favorite words were, " its better to give, than to receive". She understood that we're all helpers to one another. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand and did everything with love.
Even in her latter years, Bernice kept a smile on her face. No matter the circumstance, she always showed love and compassion toward others. She thanked the Lord often for giving her a long life. She spoke of the goodness of the Lord and encouraged you to keep him in your life.
Brenice is preceded in death by her late family members, Bruce Broussard (husband), John Fuselier (Father), Beatrice Smith (mother), Evelyn Hill (sister), Donna Battle (daughter), Zayden Preston ( great-grandson), and Octave "Jackie Ray" Davis (nephew). Sha is survived by her son, Isiah Battle, Christopher Battle, daughters, Soundra Ashford, Carolyn Hall, Rebecca Harris, and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
