Obituary

Authur Honroe Millner III was born August 3, 1957 in Tyler, Texas to the parentage of Authur and Ruth (Raibon) Millner. He was the second oldest of three children born to this union. He received his education from Dallas Public Schools and studied Fine Arts and Aviation in the Dallas County Community College system.

Authur married Therisa Mitchell on April 16, 1976 and their union produced four daughters: DaShonda, Shemeka, Ausha and Terrya. Authur was a lover of music and spent his younger years composing and recording music and playing the bass guitar. He was licensed by the State of Texas as a journeyman plumber and owned and operated AART's Roofing and Remodeling as a roofing and general contractor throughout his life.

Authur loved to travel, fish and tend the flowers in his home garden, as well as to spend time with his family and friends. He was dedicated to continuing his family legacy and often took on the responsibility of hosting family reunion events. He had a quick wit and contagious sense of humor, a giving spirit and a charming presence that made him a joy to the lives of those who knew him. Authur rededicated his life to Christ and united in membership at Porter Temple C.M. E. Church in Dallas, Texas, where he was a beloved member of the choir until his illness in 2015. Authur joined the heavenly choir on Friday, July 10, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his father, Authur Millner, Jr and grandson, Mitchell McAuthur Williams.
