December 6, 1960 – July 10, 2024
Artis Williams entered this world on December 6, 1960, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas, the beloved son of Word Lee Williams and Ozella Williams. His childhood took shape in the community of Stop Six in Ft. Worth, where he shared the bonds of siblinghood as the fourth of six children. Educated at Paul Lawrence Dunbar Elementary, Middle, and Senior High Schools, Artis later achieved his GED before embarking on a journey of service with the United States Army.
From an early age, Artis embraced the teachings of Christianity and found solace in his faith in Jesus Christ. In 1985, he united in marriage with the lovely Carla Green, and their union welcomed a precious daughter into the world, Kamesha Nicole.
Artis is preceded in death by his cherished parents and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Atis will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kamesha Partida, and son-in-law Gerardo Partida. He is also survived by his brothers, Vernon Williams and Paul Williams, and his sisters, Cynthia (Brian), Pastor Becky Randle, and Regina Williams. His legacy continues through his three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Throughout his life, Artis Williams left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him, embodying qualities of love, faith, and resilience. His memory lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
