born in Revenna, Texas on June 13, 1929 to Arnold Harvey Sr. and Irma Woodard Harvey. He had seven siblings. Four sisters Ruth Rogers,Monema Harvey, Noble Harvey and Evelyn Wright, preceded him in death. Sisters, Edwardine Kirven (Joe) and Vivian Caldwell (Thomas), and brother, Roscoe David Harvey celebrate his life.

Arnold graduated from Washington High School in Ravenna, Texas. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War and discharged honorably as a sergeant. Mr. Harvey received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences from Bishop College and was employed by Garland School District, He received his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Upon completion of his Master's program he worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer for Dallas County. Mr. Harvey was the first Black Federal Probation Officer in the State of Texas and received multiple awards. After a stellar career of 20+years, Arnold retired from the Federal Courts. He then purchased a farm and pursued his passion of farm life.

Mr. Harvey served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Federal Credit Union and was a lifetime member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Young Men's Christian Association. As a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., he was named Omega Man of the Year. In his final years, he served as the Chaplain at the Friends Place in Desoto, Texas.

Arnold was married to his best friend and the love of his life, Maggie "Elnor" Harvey, for 53 years. Together they have five children, daughter, Jacquelyn Dennis, Doris Jones, Deborah Pruitt, Andrea Wilson; son Dru Hawkins; and eight grandchildren, Shannon, Tiffany, Ashley, Emanuel, Adam, Dylan, Dawson, and Kennedy. He is survived by his great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Harvey was a devout Christian and always kept God first in every area of his life. In 2007, he and his wife Elnor, became members of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship where he participated in Small Group, Marriage Counseling, the Kingdom Man and Building Services Ministries. We , his family, thank God daily for the blessings, memories, and immense love he bestowed upon us.
