Obituary

Arlene Jacqueline Garmon, "Ms. Jackie", 78, of Dallas, a loving mother, wife, aunt, friend and confident, passed away on January 15, 2022, with family by her side.

Arlene accepted Christ at an early age. She graduated High School from James W. Madison and began her career with Texas Instruments and later with Rockwell International. After also started a catering business where she loved to express her creativity through baking and cooking. She often catered high profile events such as the Ebony Fashion Fair and the Anatole Hotel. She was also a dedicated member of New Greater Memorial Family Church and lead the Kitchen Ministry for many years.

Arlene was born to the parentage of Willie Green and Jessie Lee Green, who preceded her in death. Arlene was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Green, daughter Felisa Garmon, two sisters, Wille J Johnson and Littie Sneed.

Arlene leaves to cherish her precious memories, husband Mr. Jerry E Garmon, daughter Chanda Garmon, son Jerry Garmon Jr, two brothers Anderson J Green (Juanita), Ellie J Green, four sisters Mrs. Lorene Sims, Mrs. Gloria Jacobs, Mrs. Kaylene Smith, and Miss. Kathleen Green.

She also leaves to cherish 8 grandchildren, Tiandrea Hodge, Ray Washington Jr., LaDarius Garmon, Anthony McCowan, Mia Steptoe, Julius Steptoe, Adrian Steptoe, K. Green, 10 great-grandchildren, with a host of family and friends.

She will always be remembered to many with her famous greeting of "Hi Do"
