August 17, 1927 – October 11, 2021
Ardell H. Perkins was born in Cuney, Texas on August 17, 1927 to Jessie and Luefelia Johnson. She moved to Dallas, TX after High School ( Cuney High) and pursed her dream of becoming a professional seamstress. Later on she met and married the Love of her life, Mr. Eddie D. Perkins who preceded her in death July of 1981. She gave her life to Christ at and early age at the Rock Hill Baptist Church of Cuney, TX. under the leadership of the late Pastor J.C Chambers. Later on in life she united with The Antioch FMBC of Dallas. Tx. Under the leadership of the late great Dr. Kerry D. Wesley, she loved her Church.
She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, win, lose or draw and also the Dallas Mavericks.
She is also preceded by her Parents Jessie and Luefelia Johnson, two sons, Eddie Neon Perkins & Jessie Browning, grandson Ronald E. Curley Jr.., daughter-in-law Monique Perkins, Sister's Berma Johnson Hinton, Opal Johnson Warren, Donnie Jean Johnson Brown, Brothers, Joyce Lee Johnson, L.J Johnson, MacArthur Johnson & Cornelius Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories six children: Helen Collins (Willie), of Terrell, TX, Dewayne Perkins, Gerald Perkins, Erwin T. Perkins ( Flora) of Dallas, TX. Piarenell Bowens (Elvis) of Desoto, TX Joan Curley ( Ronald Sr.) of Glenn Heights, TX 9 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.
She also leaves a beloved sister and brother Glinnie K. Johnson of Dallas, TX AND Jessie Johnson Jr. (Mary) of Cuney, TX.
