Antwan Dwayne Wilson entered this remarkable life on October 24, 1979, in Dallas, Texas. He was born to the late but beautiful Erma Jean Roberson and the late Johnny Melvin "The Rottweiler" Wilson.
Antwan accepted Christ at an early age and went on to receive his education from Dallas Independent School District where he graduated from David W. Carter Hight School in 1998.
He was a commercial driver, workedin warehouse management, logistics and supply chain management for over 20 years.
Antwan was a man who wore many hats. He was an exemplary son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Even though he had a hard exterior, his heart was made of pure gold. He was always willing to do any and everything for someone in need. Antwan was a generous soul and a selfless giver.
He created and founded "The Heart of Wilson" foundation in recognition of his late mother. This foundation was a non-profit organization aimed at meeting the needs of the less fortunate.
Antwan impacted countless lives while always remaining humble. His dedication to serving others and his compassionate soul will continue to resonate throughout the lives he touched. He will forever be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Antwan is preceded in death by his mother Erma Jean Roberson, his father Johnny Melvin Wilson and his grandmother Barbara Ann White.
He is survived by his beloved children, Amaia Wilson and Logan Wilson who will forever honor his memory. Also, his devoted brother, Keith Wilson (Pauline), he will always remember the close bond they shared.
He is also remembered fondly by his aunts and uncles, Brenda Alexander, Christine Jones (Clyde), Michael Hailey, Victor Jones, Derl Wilson (Diane) and Michael Jones. His niece and nephews Annalisa Wilson, Keith Wilson Jr., Kepueli Dwayne Wilson and Wellingtoni Wilson. His cousins Chrystal Hailey (KaDaria) and Charles Choice.
Special among those who will miss him, his favorite "Auntie-Mama", Belinda Hailey who provided unwavering love and support throughout his life.
Antwan also left behind a host of relatives and friends.
To finalize, the beat of his heart, Micki Backstein whom he shared his life with will hold his memory in the deepest regard, treasuring the love and joy they experienced together.
Antwan's life was a testament to love, strength and kindness. His memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
