Antoinette Renee Hicks, "Nette," was born on December 20, 1982. What a blessing to her mother, Yolanda Denise Hicks, as it was a few days after her own birthday on December 11th when she welcomed Nette into the world. Antoinette was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Yolanda Denise Hicks, "Lynn." At an early age, Nette was baptized at Illinois Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. During her time at the church, she was a member of the choir and served on the usher board. She attended public school in Dallas, Texas, at David W. Carter High School. Although she did not have her own biological children, she loved and nurtured her family members' children. She was employed at Luby's Cafeteria and excelled in her acts of service, assisting customers. Antoinette was never shy about working to advance in life; she never met a stranger as she was always caring and willing to assist others.

"Nette" leaves to cherish her memories her brother, Timothy Wayne Hicks, along with her niece, Bailey Yolanda Hicks, her great-aunt, Viola Collins (Cat), two aunts, and a host of cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Yolanda Denise Hicks "Lynn," her grandmother, Vernell Hicks, and her other aunts and uncles.
