Alvin Lyons was born on August 31, 1954 to Mr. Theodis and Ruth Lyons. He was preceded in death by both parents, as well as three brothers Henry Lyons (Lizzie), Thoedis Jr. (Linda), Larry Eugene Lyons, and a host of Aunts and Uncles. He was born and raised in Terrell, Texas, where he graduated from Terrell High School (Class of 1972).

He was dedicated worker for several companies. He drove 18 wheelers, as well as owned and operated his own concrete truck. He ended his Career at Country View Manor in Terrell, TX for 18 plus years. Alvin loved playing basketball, dominoes, cards, watching sports especially The Cowboys, as well as Westerns.

He leaves to cherish his memories His Wife Melodie Lyons, daughter Tijuana Ashley (Kesha), two sons Gerrell King and Darrell Runnels, three sisters Doris Jean Stiggers, Ruth Lyons, Mary Lewis (Ricky), two brothers James (Phyllis) and Emmitt Lyons, 3 Aunts Mary Alice and Kelly Jean of Dallas,Tx and Rose Lee Warren of Austin, TX 1 Uncle Robert Lyons of California. He  also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Jaquesha Ashley, Jadarrian Vinson (Olga), Zy;riel Runnels, Nakyriel King, Derrell Runnels Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a dedicate friend (Carl Kennedy).
