Alvin was a hardworking, strong and stoic man who loved his family immensely. He worked in the field of construction until his retirement, after which, he enjoyed spending time with relatives and taking drives with the love of his life. Alvin lived his life leading by example. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed
On January 3, 2022, Alvin departed his earthly home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Corley Johnson and Ivory Modene Johnson Taylor; Son, Roderick Johnson; Grandson, Eliger Crenshaw, III; ,2 brothers: Cleavland Johnson and Withrow Johnson, and Sister Corlean "Polly" Young.
Alvin leaves to cherish his memories: Wife, Dorothy Johnson; Son, Alvin E. Johnson, Jr. (Mick); 2 Daughter-in-Laws, Vanessa Johnson and Laverne Johnson; 8 Grandchildren, Kawana Bailey-Johnson, Hykeem Woody, Alvin Johnson, III, Brianna Johnson, Brittany (Blaise) Johnson, Destiny Johnson, Ruth Johnson and Rodiquea Johnson; 7 great-grandchildren, Tatyanna, Ricky, Mekai, Terrani, London, Liam and Ky'Leigh; 3 Great-Great-grandchildren, Tyrik, Ty'Reana and Ty,Lann.
He also leaves to cherish his memories: 4 sisters, Bertha Jean Johnson, Clarissie Coleman, Mary Dean Johnson and Dorothy Gay; 6 brothers, Billy Ray Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Ralph Johnson, Leonard Johnson, Corley Johnson, II, Clifton (Wayne) Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
