Alvin Lloyd Criss, born July 16, 1958, to loving parents, Pauline Jenkins and the late Alvin D. Criss. Alvin peacefully departed this life on Monday, April 4, 2022. Alvin graduated from Bowen High School in Chicago. From there he continued his education at Knoxville College, Knoxville, TN where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree and pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Beta Phi Chapter. This is also where he began his courtship with Carletta Criss. It was the beginning of a love story; Alvin and Carletta were married on December 2 3, 1989, and from this union they were blessed with one child, Paige Andrea Criss. Alvin leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 32 years Carletta Criss, mother Pauline Jenkins, two daughters Paige Andrea Criss (Peyton Criss, grandson) and Nycol Criss Doke, one brother, Timothy Jenkins, nephew Kyle Jenkins, niece Leahtrice Akakuru (Kingsley Akakuru); great-niece, Madison and Dionne Akakuru; and a host of other family and friends. Alvin was proceeded in death by his brother, Terry Criss; father, Alvin D. Criss; mother-in-law, Dorothy Love Coates and father-in-law Carl Coates.
