Albert Boyd Proctor was born on July 2,1940 under the union of London and Tishia Mae Proctor
in Fairfield, TX. The family moved to Ferris, TX where he received his formal education at Paul
Laurence Dunbar High School in Ferris class of 1960. He was one of the greatest basketball
players. After graduation he attended Texas College in Tyler, TX, where he received his Bachelors
in Business Administration.
Albert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Macedonia Baptist Church under leadership of
Rev S.M Cloud. He sang in the choir and Ferris Male Chorus. Albert moved to Jackson, MS were
he was employed at Frito Lay for 36 years. He retired in 1999.
Albert moved back home to Texas on January 27th,2000 where he became a member of The
Temple Baptist Church under leadership of Reverend E.L Burrell. He was a faithful member until
death. He also worked for Duncanville Independent School District as a Crossing Guard for 20
years.
In his leisure he loved cooking, hunting, bowling, all sports, and spending time with his
grandchildren.
Albert B. Proctor departed his life on February 11, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father,
London Proctor, his mother, Tishia Mae Proctor, his brothers Charles Proctor and Morris Lee
Proctor and sister Myrtle Faye Walker.
He leaves to cherish his Daughter: Sheena Rand (Jerry), Grandchildren: Shaniah, Jayden, Jordan
Jerry IV, Carter and Aiden. Five sisters: Willie Briscoe, Patricia Coy (Robert), Letichia Carson,
Darlene Proctor, and Ersile Boatley and former wife Linda Peels with a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends.
