Mr. Akeem Adbul-Jami (Ray Charles Goff Sr.) was born on February 21,1957 in Kerens, Texas, and was the oldest child born to Claudette Goff and Harvey Russell.

Akeem attended High School in Beach California. After graduating he pursued a Career in The U.S Navy. He was employed with John Peter Smith Hospital for 14 plus years.

He is preceded in death by Mother Claudette Goff, Glady Mays, Father Harvey Russell, brothers Myron E. Mays and Dwight G. Mays and Sisters Pamela K. Hill and Ceylon Mays.

He leaves to cherish his memories Wife Linda Abdul-Jami, 2 Sons Ray Charles Goff Jr (Misti) and DeMarcus Goff (Christi), 2 step-sons Robert Green (Jessica) and Christopher Green. He also leaves behind 14 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Siblings Gloria Cook and Connie Mays. And a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends will Cherish his Memory.
