Aaron Jones, Jr. was the third child born to the parentage of Aaron Jones, Sr. and Frankie (House) Jones in San Antonio, TX on August 29, 1932. His parents preceded him in death, as did his siblings, Albert Jones and Helen (Jones) VanDyke, and one daughter, Brenda Potter. At an early age, the family moved to Austin, TX where Aaron attended Austin Public Schools and Austin Business Academy. Aaron served in the United States Army and was a disabled veteran at the time of death.

Aaron worked in the Food and Beverage Industry, serving in such positions as Matre D, Head Waiter, Bartender, and cook mentoring newcomers into the industry. Aaron catered to Presidents, Governors, Congressmen, and elites of the social sector. He also worked in the domestics as a Butler, Valet and Chauffer.

Aaron loved to play dominoes, checkers and piano; he was also a very talented artist and poet. Aaron was a believer in Christ and was a member of Anointed Fellowship Bible Church in Lancaster, TX. He served faithfully in attendance until his health failed him and even then continued to send his tithes until his demise on April 10, 2016.

Aaron leaves to cherish his precious memories: daughter, Paula Smith (Emmett) of San Antonio, TX; son, Tony Lamont Gray of Dallas, TX; son, Derrick Carrington of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Emmett Smith, III. of San Antonio, TX and Lisa Kemper of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
